Abstract: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignancies in the world. Methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) is a key enzyme of folate metabolism process. In recent years, many studies indicate that MTHFR polymorphisms are significantly associated with the morbidity, response to chemotherapy and prognosis of CRC, but conclusions are inconsistent and remain to be further confirmed.

Key words: Polymorphism, single nucleotide, Colorectal neoplasms, Methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase
