Abstract: Nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) is a S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM) dependent cytoplasm enzyme, which plays a vital role in the biotransformation and detoxification of many drugs and xenobiotic compounds. Recent studies have revealed abnormal expression of NNMT in many tumors, which may contribute to tumorigenesis and tumor development and radiotherapy or chemotherapy resistance.
