Li Baosheng, research fellow, Taishan scholar, works as doctoral supervisor of Shandong University, Tianjin Medical University, Southeast University and University of Jinan. In 1999, Li Baosheng went to the Oncology Radiotherapy Center of the University of Maryland as a visiting scholar. In 2004, he graduated from Southeast University with a doctor’s degree in engineering. Dr. Li, vice President of Shandong Cancer Hospital, who is designated as the chairman of the first committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association’s Radiological Oncologist Branch, works currently as chairman designate of the Chinese Medical Association’s Radiological Oncology Branch, vice chairman of the Chinese Anticancer Association’s Radiological Oncology Branch, director of the Council of the Chinese Anticancer Association, chairman of the Shandong Medical Doctor Association’s Radiological Oncologist Branch, and former chairman of the Shandong Provincial Medical Association’s Radiological Oncology Branch. Li Baosheng has long been engaged in the clinical, scientific research and teaching work of cancer radiotherapy, taking the lead in developing advanced radiotherapy technologies such as three-dimensional conformal/intense-modulated radiotherapy and image-guided radiotherapy in China. In order to solve the impact of mass movement on the efficacy of cancer radiotherapy, he researched the organ movement analysis/control technique in depth, and used tumor functional imaging technology to guide the accurate delineation of the target area and the increase of the dose of radiotherapy, thus improving the efficacy of radiotherapy. A great deal of work has also been done in predicting the sensitivity of tumor radiotherapy and chemotherapy by imaging parameters/serum molecular biological indicators. And the research results have been used to guide the individualized treatment of tumors. As the responsible person, Li Baosheng has undertaken 1 sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program, 1 key project and 4 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 4 provincial science and technology research projects, 1 major science and technology innovation project of Shandong Province, and 1 key project of the Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He published 83 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author. As the first inventor, he has won 5 national invention patents. As team main member, he won Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award twice. As team leader, he won Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award once, First Prize of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award once, Second Prize of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award twice, Third Prize of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award once, 1 Second Prize and 1 Third Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award.
