Abstract: The peritoneum is one of the most common sites of gastric cancer recurrence or metastasis. Peritoneal metastasis seriously affects the patients life quality and shortens patients survival time, so early diagnosis and active treatment have a major impact on the prognosis. Continuous studies of some biomarkers and extensive using of new imaging technology make the early diagnosis of peritoneal metastasis more promising. Simultaneously, with the rapid development of intraperitoneal chemotherapy and molecular targeted therapy, there are more options in the treatment.
