Abstract: Artemisinin and its derivatives are the first choices for the treatment of malaria medicine. In recent years, a large number of studies in vivo and in vitro show that artemisinin and its derivatives have good antitumor activities. Its antitumor mechanism mainly includes the oxidation damage reaction, inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and resistance to new angiogenesis. Artemisinin and its derivatives have little side effect, low cost, effective aginst multidrugresistant cell and a synergistic effect on radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which may become promising clinical anticancer compounds.
