Abstract:

Lung cancer ranks among the top malignancies in terms of both incidence and mortality rates. The liver is a common site of distant metastasis, which is closely associated with the poor prognosis. In recent years, immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have achieved significant breakthroughs in the treatment of advanced lung cancer. Patients with liver metastasis can also benefit from ICI therapy. However, compared to the overall population, the presence of liver metastasis remains an independent prognostic factor for poor efficacy of immunotherapy. Based on recent research, summarizing the impact of liver metastasis on the efficacy of immunotherapy for lung cancer, the underlying mechanisms, and future research directions may provide certain reference basis for formulating comprehensive treatment strategies for lung cancer patients with liver metastasis.
