Abstract: Concurrent chemoradiotherapy is the optimal regimen for patients with inoperable locally advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer (LANSCLC). The application of new technologies such as positron emission tomography (PET)/CT and four dimensional CT (4DCT) enhances the accuracy of radiotherapy and decreases adverse reaction. Induction chemotherapy and consolidation chemotherapy do not show benefit to survival. The targeted therapy and immunotherapy have the potential of improving the outcomes of inoperable LANSCLC.
