Abstract: irculating tumor cell (CTC) count is widely recognized in determining tumor stage, assessing prognosis, monitoring therapy response. But a lot of researches and clinical experiments are needed to establish a standardized evaluation system. Molecular detection of CTC not only can improve the CTC count, but also have immense potential for the auxiliary diagnosis and individual treatment of tumors and significance for understanding the biological behavior of tumor metastasis. It will become the hot spot of future research.
